Weekend Cat Blogging with Sam Sam: Relaxing for Pride

It’s Pride Weekend here in San Francisco 🏳️‍🌈. But since we have a busy several days, indeed a busy month, we are taking a bit of time this Sunday afternoon to relax. It’s also a great opportunity to play with Sam Sam. Here are some recent photos of our playful and funny feline companion.

Sam Sam can be quite expressive, even a bit sassy, when she wants something. She loves attention, food, getting brushed, and playing. She is always asking for attention and play.

Even when others in CatSynth HQ are trying to work.

The astute observer will see graphics for our various mobile apps on the screen, as well as a photo of Luna.

As it is Pride, here is an obligatory rainbow filter on that first photo of Sam Sam (which is one of my favorites).

We hope you all are having a nice weekend, wherever you are and whatever you celebrate.

Weekend Cat Blogging With Sam Sam: Antics

It’s been a little while since we visited with Sam Sam.

She is quite active, constantly running around and reminding us that she is nearby and needs attention.

In this upside-down pose one can see her “goatee” more fully. It’s part of her distinctive face markings.

We are quite enjoying her many antics. Here we see Sam Sam walking the ledge in the studio, looking for attention of course.

Weekend Cat Blogging with Luna: Play with me! (again)

Luna curled paws up

I caught Luna this morning, doing the adorable thing where she rolls onto her back and has her paws curled up. It’s a pose that screams “Play with me!” And I am happy to oblige.

This has been a quiet weekend after another few weeks of both excitement and tumult, and I think we are enjoying having the extra time to spend together.

Weekend Cat Blogging with Luna: Cuteness

The third show of “Three Show Weekend” is coming up in a few hours.  It’s been a busy week, not just with the shows but also rehearsals and work.  But I still make quite a bit of time for Luna.  And who wouldn’t when confronted with an ultra-cute guilt trip like this.

Luna has perfected her cute poses and guilt trips, especially over the past year.   And she knows it works.  It doesn’t prevent me from getting to work in the morning, but it does sometimes make me a few minutes late.

Weekend Cat Blogging #379

Here we see Luna rolling around trying to be extra cute. This is a nearly daily ritual now, where she tries to convince me to stay and play with her instead of going out to whatever it is I am going to. She is hard to resist.

This photo was taken on the iPhone with Instagram, not nearly as versatile as Hipstamatic, but convenient for instant sharing. Especially with cat photos, it’s the camera (or camera app) that one has on hand that counts.

Weekend Cat Blogging #379 is up at Mind of Mog.

The Carnival of the Cats will be up tomorrow at Meowsings of an Opinionated Pussycat, where Nikita and Elvira are getting ready to move from California to Texas.

And the Friday Ark is at the modulator.

Weekend Cat Blogging: Talking and Heatwave

Luna is often quite talkative in the morning. Recently, she started launching into a long monologue while I had my iPhone handy to capture it.

Of course, she gets some scritches at the end. I am always curious what it is she is trying to say.

It has been quite warm the last few days in San Francisco, and CatSynth HQ always tends to run a bit hotter than its surroundings.

Luna tries to balance lying in the sun while trying to stay a bit cool in her fur suit.

Tomorrow (October 16) is National Feral Cat Day (who knew?).

Alley Cat Allies launched National Feral Cat Day on our 10th anniversary in 2001 to raise awareness about feral cats, promote Trap-Neuter-Return, and recognize the millions of compassionate Americans who care for them.

Events will be taking place around the United States to demonstrate compassion and support humane treatment of all cats. Follow the link to the map to see if there is an event near you. I also like the poster.

Weekend Cat Blogging #332 is hosted by Jules and Vincent at Judi’s Mind Over Matter. Jules is looking very Luna-like in his black-and-white portrait 🙂

The Carnival of the Cats will be up this Sunday at iMeowza.
