Jodorowsky's Dune: The Great Science Fiction Movie Never Made

In our latest Cinema Short, we discuss Jorodowsky’s Dune, the documentary about the ambitious 1970s project by Alejandro Jodorowsky and Jean Giraud (aka Moebius) to bring Frank Herber’s Dune novel …to the screen. Both of them are interviewed in the film as well as other collaborators like H.R. Giger and Dan O’Bannon. Ultimately, the film was never made, but we still have the scripts and massive storyboard which includes some amazing art by Moebius et al. Many of the visual ideas would go on to influence films like Alien, Star Wars, the Fifth Element, and many others, as well as find their way into Moebius later graphic novels and comics.Show More
