Cherry Audio Pentaphonic: A rare synthesizer masterpiece reborn
CatSynth presents a deep dive into the new Pentaphonic from our friends at Cherry Audio. This is a recreation of the extremely rare Gleeman Pentaphonic synthesizer, complete with its …unique look featuring crystaline transparent knobs and a translucent body. The Pentaphonic was an analog polyphonic synth with a few twists, including three digital oscillators with microcontroller-generated waveforms that were fed into an analog Steiner Parker filter. We explore the emulation of these unique features as well as Cherry Audio’s enhancements for modulation, effects, and motion. We also check out a few of the factory and expansion-pack presets.
