  • Juanita and Eurorack Modular

Cat standing on hid legs to play with a feather toy. Behind her is a large Eurorack modular synthesizer system.

Juanita plays in front of a large and impressive Eurorack modular system.

Submitted by Galex Zodifire via Facebook, who asks how folks who use Eurorack modular save their patches. If you’re a modular user, please share your thoughts in the comments (and of course, share your thoughts even if you’re not).

  • Subaru, Dave Fulton, and Wall of Modular

The lovely Subaru enjoys some cuddles with her human, Dave Fulton, as they pose for us in front of an impressive modular synthesizer setup. A beautiful image of cats, love, and synths!

Submitted by Dave Fulton (@davedatt on Instagram).

She is lovely, but so insistent on being held for increasingly long times. I fail to complete anything quickly.

We do what we must to accede to our cats’ wishes.

Haku sits quietly as our friend Erik Ribeiro explores the Korg ARP 2600 M, the smaller-sized version of their ARP 2600 recreation. Erik also shares his thoughts on the ARP 2600 and his relationship with this iconic synth.

I like that Korg has been making sized-down versions of these classic synths. In addition to the ARP 2600 M, there are the MS-20 Mini and the MiniKorg 700sm. Just like cats, I want to take them all home with me.

  • Happy 17th Birthday, Sam Sam!

Adorable photo of black and white cat with a smudgy black nose sitting on a blanket. She was one black spot on her white paw.

Please join us in wishing our little Sam Sam a happy 17th birthday!

She is always such a sweet cat, and we’re so grateful to have her as part of our lives.

17 is fairly old for a cat, so she does have “common older-cat issues”, but she is getting the best health care. We manage her thyroid with medication and keep an eye on her kidneys. With luck, she will be with us for some time to come.

Grady hangs out next to a Cyma Forma ALT synthesizer. The ALT is interesting in that it has a pin matrix for connecting its internal modules, which include oscillators, melody generators, and more.
