Big Merp with Big Modular

Brown and white cat posing in front of a very large modular synthesizer system with multiple cases. Several patch cords are connecting modules between different cases. This is also a camcorder sitting on the desk.

Today, we feature our very own Big Merp, who is posing handsomely in front of our large modular synthesizer installation. Other bits of gear can be found on the desk, which is where we do many of our synthesizer video demos.

The makers of all the modules are too numerous to list here, but we do list them in the tags.

Pinglato and “Gemini” (Twin Oscillator Jam)

From theoramawards (named for the great Daphne Oram) on Instagram.

It’s #GeminiSeason and 2020 Oram Awardee Loula Yorke has just released on her @bandcamp page ‘Gemini’ a piece of sparkling ephemera to celebrate her birthday.

The track will disappear after 24 hours starting from today.

If you’d like to show her some support, listen/buy this twin oscillator jam track!

CatSynth video: Dicking Around with Braids, Rings, and other DIY crap

From Sean Pendleton on YouTube, via matrixsynth.

“Love Rings and Braids, need to build more of both. I can’t wait to build Clouds and Elements. Klee is controlling the Rings, Turing machine on the Braids. Drums are a Corny Rhythm controlling a Barton Analog Drum, Decaying noise, and Synthrotek DSM. Radio Music and Wogglebug are making noise in the background. Kept things simple.”
