No words needed when Sam Sam turns on the adorableness.

Tuxedo cat “Agent” Cooper is ready to make music with his laptop M-Audio controller. From delicatedecay on Instagram.

This was the awesome poster for the past weekend’s Volt Divers show in Portland. Not only does it feature a cat, it is monochromatic purple!
If you are not familiar with this series run by our friend Jeph Nor (Runkl Nor’s human and synthesizer virtuoso), please check out their Facebook Page. We hope to get back up to Portland ourselves sometime soon…

Cat atop a keyboard in front of a Korg PolySix synthesizer. From Bjรถrn Lif on that same post on the group Synthesizer Freaks. Life is good.
Identification of the lower keyboard is left as an exercise to the reader.

๐๐๐ Introducing Micro๐๐๐
I was actually quite keen to check out the Mellotron Micro at NAMM, but unfortunately ran out of time. I did see an earlier prototype the previous year, however. Glad that Duke has a chance to show us around the latest version.
Sam Sam continues to come into her own at CatSynth HQ, even claiming the “throne” pillow in the main room.

In this portrait, one can see that she has not just the distinctive smudge on her nose, but also a little spot of black on her chin. A goatee of a sort.
She has also become quite talkative, often letting us know when she wants attention or has an opinion to share.

And she does want a lot of attention. Samantha has taken to frequently rolling around on the rug and exhorting us to play.

We at CatSynth are happy to oblige.

From Joe Bielawa and that same treasure-trove post in the Facebook group Synthesizer Freaks. This cat has not one but (at least) two DSI Tempests. The Tempest is a collaboration between Dave Smith and Roger Linn that we have discussed in previous posts.

From Hans-Jรผrgen Podzun via that same post in the Facebook group Synthesizer Freaks.
Identification of the synth left as an exercise to the reader.
