    CatSynth video: do re minor

A great demo track from Ebotronix on YouTube. Via matrixsynth. It includes an impressive array of synth gear. And watch for the cat in the corner 🙂

  • CatSynth pic: Korg Mono/Poly and Charlotte the Cat

Some sad news via matrixsynth. One of our frequently featured synth cats, Charlotte, recently passed away.

    clear-eye-cat

Charlotte appeared in many photos featured on this site, often showing disdain for the synths. You can see a few examples here and here. She lived a good long life of 18 years, but it is still sad to lose a beloved pet, and our thoughts go out to her family.

The post on matrixsynth also featured some cool filtered images of the Korg Mono/Poly.

Video by Benjamin Hawkins on YouTube. Also on matrixsynth.

“My cat is chilling with this Tiptop modular system”

I love how Bookie is so relaxed around synth music. Luna is the same way 🙂

Weekend Cat Blogging with Luna: Glass Table and Clothing Pile

As per usual, Luna is enjoying morning sunshine by sitting underneath one of our many glass tables at CatSynth HQ. Unfortunately, her favorite one is completely covered with piles of clothing right now, but that doesn’t stop her from claiming her usual spot.

The glass dining table has become a staging area for a major clothing purge. Here things are separated into items to be sold, donated or given to friends. After a zealous start, I have been busy with work and rehearsals for upcoming shows (including a performance tonight), so the piles remain for now. But Luna and I will both be happy when they disappear.

    I really should get a Metasonix R54.

“Playing with one of the Pittsburgh Modular cases headed to NAMM in a few weeks.”

Looking forward to seeing this and much more at NAMM 🙂

  • Weekend Cat Blogging with Luna: More Metal and Glass

    20140111-IMG_9847

Luna continues her fondness for sitting underneath glass tables. This time she found a very symmetric spot underneath I side table that I recently cleared. A lot of things are moving around here at CatSynth HQ at the moment.

Original title en français: Miss Papée qui prend des cours avec Franco

From francolamuerte·159 on YouTube, via matrixsynth.

“Teaser ! Savoir comment accorder un oscillateur analogique sur toute l’étendue de sa plage d’octave, ça vous intéresse ? En tout cas, moi j’ai connais une que ça intéresse vivement : ma fidèle et unique Miss Papée !”

It looks like Miss Papée wants to touch the MiniBrute 🙂
