Cammi Granato (plus Eddie Lack) with Synths, Pedals, and More

Cammi Granato sits comfortably next to a live board featuring Red Panda Context, Particles and Bitmap pedals, Make Noise 0-coast and Strega standalone synthesizers, and an AKAI MPX-8. Above is a Roland SE-02 synth, monitors, and “an electro-acoustic thing made by Flesh Vomit.”

Canine Eddie Lack chills nearby as well, providing us with a rare DogSynth pic.

From our friends Scott and Deb via Mastadon. They are a big part of the group that made the recent Wonder Valley Experimental Music Festival happen. You can see our highlight reel of all the acts from the festival in the video below.

Valentino with Elektron RYTM & Octatrack

This is not Big Merp. It’s our friend Valentino, who has found a nice napping spot between the Elektron RYTM and Octatrack and the computer (with an Orion interface). We also see a Red Panda Particule pedal.

    Via Patricia Wolf on Twitter.

Had to unplug the RYTM + Octatrack because that’s where he wants to sleep right now.

As the late great Serena Toxicat said, “A cat does what a cat does” 😸

You can see more of Valentino’s appearances on CatSynth via his tag.

Valentino poses adorably with a Red Panda Particle pedal, a Studio Electronics BoomStar synthesizer, and a Make Noise 0-coast. From Patricia Wolf (@patwolfmusic) via Twitter.

Got a studio visit today from Valentino

We think he looks a bit like a young Big Merp 😺

    Cat on guitar pedals

Our feline friend Charlie is ready for a drone recording session. Antoine Marronclɘs via Facebook.

We see some pedals from Red Panda, IdiotBox, and others. Zooming out, we also see an Elektron Digitakt box, a vintage portable cassette recorder, as well as more pedals.

Guitar pedals, Elektron Digitakt, cassette recorder, laptop with Ableton Live.

And zooming back in to that cat on the Red Panda Tensor pedal.

Cat paw on Red Panda Tensor pedal.

This Tensor pedal is quite intriguing, as I have a longstanding interest in tape effects. From the official website:

The Tensor™ gives you live reverse and tape stop effects, pitch shifting, time stretching and hold functions that you can combine in creative ways. Slow down, speed up and rewind in real time. Stretch or compress time with no pitch change. Loop, overdub, and randomly slice phrases up to 9.4 seconds (4.7 seconds in stereo).
