Ron and Virginal
Ron naps comfortably atop a virginal, a small, rectangular type of harpsichord. Submitted by Ann Ramsey (@annxramsey on Threads).
Virginals use the same plucking mechanism for the springs as standard harpsichords, but usually only have one string per key, and lay them out transversely in a rectangular case like we see with Ron’s keyboard above.

He is with me for about 2 months now. I adopted him from the shelter. He was found on the street. He is making very good progress as he was afraid of humans. I always wanted to have a red cat. He goes well with my 2 girls Kitty and Suzy.

Dahlia with Roland JP-8080 and other synths
Dahlia strikes another beautiful pose, this time next to the Roland JP-8080. In the background, we also see a Korg MiniKorg 700, an Ensoniq ESQ-1, and a red Roland SH-101. We at CatSynth particularly covet a couple in this collection.

Chihiro was eager to climb into the bottom section of the XAOC Box. Once again, I was moving stuff around which meant taking just about everything out to get to the ribbon cable headers.

Dahlia, Roland MC-202 and JP-8080
The beautiful Dahlia returns, and she has brought some great vintage Roland machines: the MC-202 rhythm composer and the JP-8080 virtual analog module.

MC-2oh2 and Grand Duchess Dahlia Darling of Meowington Manor (Dahlia for short)…I interrupted a meowing and rubbing tirade to snap this pic. She went back to meowing and rubbing immediately after. She’s the best puss.
