Shiro, Yamaha YC20, Roland TR707 and JX8P, more

Shiro Poses adorably atop the red Yamaha YC20 organ. We also see two Casio SK-1s, a Roland JX-8P, and a Roland TR-707 drum machine.
From Héctor Genis (@hdgenis) on Twtitter.
If Shiro’s collection of instruments looks familiar, you would be correct. It is the same set that Saruman posed on last week. Siblings Shiro and Saruman live in Mexico City with their human.
Jazzy Jenkins and Moog bag

Our pal Jazzy from Eevolute Music and Technology in the Netherlands is back; he has found that this Moog bag is a nice cozy place to sit and relax.
You can see some of Jazzy’s other appearances via this tag.
Big Merp, Yamaha RX5, Modular

Today we have CatSynth pics with our very own Big Merp, who loves to jump up on the desk. Here we see him with our Yamaha RX5 drum machine and our massive modular system. The Metasonix modules are easy to spot, as are the Make Noise modules. We also have MOTM, Rossum Electro-music, Sputnik modular, 4MS, Malekko, Folktek, Mordax, and more as we get into the second grouping in the distance. We also see a bit of the Arturia MiniBrute 2 and Moog Mother-32. A fuller accounting can be found in the tags.

Nicolai, Korg Microsampler, Alesis Drums and Compressor

Nicholai sits comfortably in front of a Korg Microsampler and Alesis drum machine and compressor. He also happens to be the brother of Hookah the Cat, whom we have featured many times here on CatSynth.
From Darren Douglas Danahy via Facebook.
Hookah the Cat is always getting on the CatSynth page for playing on my keyboards… Nicolai however, likes to hang out on the other side of the room by the Alesis drums & compressor along with the Korg microsampler, Kustom guitar amp, and Roland guitar synth. He actually likes to take the drumsticks from the area and play with them.
Sounds like Nicolai is becoming quite the drummer in his own way 😹
Saruman, Roland JX-8P, TR-707, Yamaha YC-20

Our friend Saruman from Mexico City has a nice stack of keyboards today: a Roland JX-8P (with a TR-707 drum machine on top), a Yamaha YC-20 combo organ below with its beautiful red finish; Saruman seems particularly interested in the small keyboard in the middle, which I’m thinking is actually two Casio SK-1s…

Maci, Korg SQ-1, Mutable Instruments

Maci sits next to (and partially on top of) a Korg SQ-1 step sequencer. Submitted by Krasi Yonchev via our Facebook page.

We also see what looks like a Mutable Instruments module nearby. My best guess is Clouds?

Maci seems very contented.
Milly and Arturia Matrixbrute

Beautiful cat Milly sits on an Arturia Matrixbrute. Submitted by Stuart Russel via our Mastadon account.
The MatrixBrute is, well, a brute. A rather intense analog synth with three oscillators, a brutish Steiner-Parker filter, and a large LED matrix for routing. I had the opportunity to play one at NAMM a few years ago.
Little Bear and Hammond L-100 Organ

Little Bear snoozes comfortably on the bench for a Hammond L-100 Organ. He is the brother of Chinook, whom we featured earlier this week.

Chinook and Moog Opus 3

Chinook is checking out his latest patch on the Moog Opus 3 by playing a low D. Submitted by Andy Excuse via our Facebook page.
We also have a more styled version of the photo.

The Opus 3 may not be the most well-known of Moog’s classic instruments, but it is a great little synth and very accessible, with separate sections for Strings, Brass, and Organ, each with its own Moog-style VCF. It’s been used by some famous bands we admire, including Kraftwerk and Stereolab.
