This photo was taken from the lowest section of the Filbert Steps here in San Francisco. This section is a metal staircase that ascends a sheer cliff between Sansome Street on the bottom and Montgomery Street on the top.
The staircase continues up Telegraph Hill, to the site of a previous Wordless Wednesday photograph.
What a wonderful shot!
Looks pretty hazy to me. Happy WW! 😛
It makes me think of the line “…sunlight pouring down.”

That puts my world into perspective! Thanks so much. Beautiful shot.

I’d like to climb the stairs, although it might take a while. 🙂

Great picture! I liked that you told us everything about it in the comments section, because I was scratching my head already! 🙂
Hi, I am a guide dog raiser in Seattle, WA. The puppy I am currently raising is named Shep. I love your blog and I love reading about other people’s experiences. Your posts are both informative and amusing and are easy to read because the words flow so well. I also have a website where I sell pet supplies and i have a blog on it also about guide dogs. I built the site to try and help raise money for guide dogs and other animal charities. http://maayangordon.blogspot.com
