As usual, info about this photo is in the comments.
I did want to invite regular WW visitors to check out a review of a photography exhibit I wrote yesterday. It’s anything but wordless, but it might be interesting to those who visit for the photography.
When the pipes are combined with some of the graffiti elements on the wall, I noticed a figure waving playfully at the viewer. It’s abstract, but it’s there.
This photo was taken in an industrial yard in the southeast of San Francisco, not far from the doll photo featured last week.
The pipes remind me of a metal hand creeping over the scrawl on the wall.
Yes, somebody peeping in.
It kinda looks alienish to me 🙂 Happy WW!
Great shot, yes, it feels like something is in the pipes peeping out.
TO me it looks like the end of a giant hotdog!
Very creative !!
We think that’s a very creative, unique shot!
That is an interesting picture. It looks like a hand to us too looking over at the graffiti. Take care.
I thought this was a hand at first! Great shot!
Like most people said, it does look like the pipes are peeping out over the edge. I wonder how long they have been there seeing that they are all rusted. What’s the “figure” waving? Perhaps the web wavering in the wind?
Yes, those are JBs in my post to make those mosaic portraits. You can see them at the Jelly Belly Factory in Fairfield, CA.
Like others, the pipes looked like something coming up over the wall at first. Very nice!
I don’t see anyone waving!!! HELP! I feel so lost CatSynth!
I like the image of the waving hand better than the creeping one :). You’ve got a great eye for unusual details.

I love this! Those taggers just stopping by–the energy is palpable.
Very interesting play with lines and curves. I must confess though, when I first saw the title and was waiting for the photo to load, I expected to see the doll posed and waving… 🙂
Happy WW!
It’s interesting how different angles can give different perspectives and how they can promote a person’s creativity in what (s)he sees.
Cool shot – you have a great sense for the unusual pics.
A typical,urban shot.
I like the “metal hand creeping over the scrawl on the wall.” comment!
It fits 🙂
Yes, I see it, too! Great shot!
We’ll go check out your review a little later.
Have a great weekend!
