I am curious, why this particular plant was the chosen one as majority?

That’s a jade plant, and it grows like crazy from cuttings, so I have quite a lot of it.
It’s particularly significant as the original plant belonged to my great-grandmother, and we’ve been growing cuttings from it ever since!-
Thank you for your answer. I had also this plant, but I did not know to take care of it.
Even it is said that is very easy to grow.
