Landscape Arch is the longest of the eponymous formations in Arches National Park. It is also a particularly delicate one and is currently protected from up close access. At certain angles it is even hard to see it from the surrounding rock because of its slenderness and length, but I found an angle which shows it prominently. This was taken right before a large rainstorm came through.
As we head into the holidays and towards the end of the year and a recent emphasis on urban landscape, I find myself looking back on this quiet but profound adventure back in May.
One of my favorite places in the world! Moab! I got to hike to Landscape Arch once before it was so protected. This is a wonderful view. I’m glad you got to see it!
Gorgeous! Such a peaceful and beautiful place. I haven’t been there in many years.
What a wonderful photograph! Thanks for sharing it with us. 🙂
