An udu drum at CatSynth HQ, photographed and processed with the Hipstamatic iPhone app.
This particular udu was featured on the track Xi from my 2005 album Aquatic.

It’s for the first time I heard about udu drum. And there are more styles…
Very interesting instruments. I’ve listen from your album a little bit.
I wonder what kind of shapes would be created with it on sand or other powder. (I saw some images when I read about cymatics).
Thank you for something new!
Happy WW and inspirations!
Never saw one. Sounds nice.
Never seen before an udu drum. Great edit!
Today in the morning I could not find a comment form, now I see it.
My picture is a blend with two photos: a landscape with willows and the clothesline on my backyard – I like to play around with my pictures. The colors are a little similar to your picture.
Thanks for letting me know about your image and the compositing. Always interested to hear about others’ creative processes 😺
First I’ve heard of or seen one of these drums. It’s beautiful.
Thank you for hosting the Wordless Wednesday Blog Hop.
Have a fabulous Wordless Wednesday and rest of the week. ♥
The first link is wrong. Sorry about that. ♥
That’s so cool! I enjoyed hearing it on your track, too.
We hope you, Sam Sam, and Big Merp are doing well. Hugs!
