We’re back to our usual urban/industrial theme this week with a photo taken near I-280 in San Francisco. It was taken using the Hipstamatic iPhone app.
This is a bit of a preview for an upcoming photo show, which will feature both large and very crafted images, and small iPhone shots like this one. Look for more information on this show in the coming week!
This reminds me of the area under the Jones Falls Expressway in Baltimore where the huge Baltimore Farmer’s Market is held from April-December. It’s a great urban space.
With the colorful graffiti, the barrels kind of look like soda cans. 🙂
they are very pretty…for barrels. lol
Oh, that’s cool!
you always find the neatest things hanging around!
They look a bit lonely down there…neat shot!
Congrats on yet another show! Fabulous!
I’ve been using my phone’s camera a bit, too, and gotta say, it’s more of a challenge! Must keep that thing clean or get horrible ghosty highlights on everything!
Colorful cans or drums below the freeway. It livens up the place. Haven’t tried Hipstamatic yet. Are you an Instagrammer?
good colors for the barrels.
What’s the present day finest aerosol paint intended for graffiti?

Very creative, I think this would encourage use!
Those are the most interesting barrels I’ve seen!
Here’s mine: http://ratb2.blogspot.com/2011/08/wordless-wednesday_24.html
They actually look good with the graffitis !
I like this. It’s simple yet different.
We like the bins. Very colourful!
The graffiti adds to the brightness of the bins 🙂
At first I thought it was cans of soda!
cool pic as always!
Great concept!
A taste of “under the bridge” culture – very nice photo
Very cool photo! Love the Hipstamatic and King Camera apps 🙂
I lived right off I-80 (Oakland), could look down and see the highway. It was long enough ago that I dunno if 280 was even there yet. :O
The Bay area always has the most interesting scenery; no fair! Love the barrels.
The graffiti made them more lively.
I played too. Mine are here and here.
