This photo was taken along the Mendocino Coast, on a beach of Highway 1 just north of Fort Bragg, CA. A full article on my Highway 1 trip up the Mendocino Coast last Friday will be posted soon.
Is it an old WWII bunker (not a storm drain)? I ask because we have similar structures in Delaware. I also thought of you this weekend as I was trying to figure out the I-90 interstate system in upstate NY!
What a completely different version of what most people envision as Highway 1. This looks so lonely and forlorn.

Storm drain complete with the ubiquitous graffiti!
We can’t escape it, can we?
«Louis» looks forward to your article about your trip up Highway 1!
that’s scary..;)
Happy Wordless Wednesday! My entry is here.
Great shot. Nice graffiti too.
A tribute to graffiti, I’ve always though it interesting vs plain concrete 🙂
Haha. Louis’ comment was EXACTLY what I had typed in!
Great shot!
Interesting shot – nothing escapes graffiti!
In wilderness…graffitti :/
An interesting structure that almost begs you to enter…
