That IS ghostly. Whenever I see old pilings sticking out of the water, I wonder about their history. What did they once support? What happened to that structure? Why was it never rebuilt?
I think you are in danger of single handedly bringing back the popularity of B&W photography.

Gosh, just perfect for setting an October mood! Incredibly moody, with a haunting aura!
