This is perhaps one of my favorite images that I have taken in a while and represents a return to the urban photography I have been doing in San Francisco over the past ten years. I also find just walking these urban alleys and streets a way to recharge when I’m feeling spiritually drained. More in the comments.
Sadly, this block is going to undergo major changes, possibly a complete loss of the alleys themselves and its inner-city character, as part of the controversial 5M development.
I really like this one too. And the ghosted mirror image is more meaningful when we realized that the block will be “improved.”
(hope you get the sarcasm in that “improved.”)
What a unique photo! tfs
Great photo of the urban part of San Francisco. Thanks for sharing. Also, thanks for hosting and have a wonderful week.
Wow…that is beautifully done!
Thank you for sharing!

What a cool image. It’s always sad when changes and developments strip places of the qualities that make them special and unique.
