Structures on Samoa Beach near Eureka, California. I’m pretty confident these produce some of the sounds that I heard as I was filming the material for my latest CatSynth TV video, which you can see and hear below.

I remember going through Eureka several years ago. Didn’t it get hit by fires this year and last? It’s a foreboding photo. Hope you’re having a good week.
Eureka did not get hit by fires. Those were further south and further east. It’s an interesting place, after over 100 miles driving through forests you descend onto this coastal plain and it becomes misty and foggy. Quite lovely.
The foreboding element is clouds and fog, rather than smoke. I also heightened the contrast in the image. 😻
