This photograph was taken at the Phoenix Hotel in the Tenderloin district of San Francisco during ArtPadSF (one of the major art fairs that occurred this past week). We are seeing the video test pattern that was projected onto a nearby building *and the trees, and the hotel rooms) before the start of a video art piece. I have to admit, I was quite enamored with the video pattern and the way it interacted with the environment, though the formal piece that followed was interesting as well.
A review of ArtPadSF and the other art fair last weekend, artMRKT, will be published in the online magazine Stretcher in the coming weeks.
Cool shot!
I would have guessed it was painted on and not projected onto the building. I am not familiar with ArtPadSF, but it looked like a cool event.
Very interesting concept and execution, you got an excellent capture!.
I would have guessed painted on also. Nice photograph!
What a great capture.
Very nice indeed 🙂
Nicely photographed. Happy WW.
That is a great collection of pictures. Love the one of the half house and half desert. But they are all terrific pictures.
Great pic! Happy WW.
That is cool. And what an interesting installation — even if this is only the test pattern
Great photo moment!! Have a great day!
Cool photo. We missed our WW this week!
Wow, I thought for sure that was a mural!
Amazing what they can do today. This makes me wish I could see it in video!
Very, very cool.
