It looks like you are as dry as we are!
It looks very beautiful there!
I love taking photos of bridges. Is it low tide in the photo?
Bridge over shallow waters?
Thanks for stopping by. Happy WW.
Lovely view, wonder what it's like from the bridge itself?
Nice photo. I love bridges. Happy WW
Hwy 1 is one of my favorite drives! Great picture. It makes me want to hop in the car and head for the coast.
Been over that bridge many times on my way down to Soquel
Cool bridge, nice shot.Makes me wonder where it leads to…Happy WW, thanks for stopping by!
Lovely photo. Almost makes me homesick. 😉
You take great pictures! I like this one. Wish there was more water though. Kinda scary, seeing this dry.
Thanks for all the comments and views of this photo. There were a lot of questions about the "lack of dampness" so to speak, which I can try to answer.
Most of our creeks and rivers here end before reaching the ocean. The streams collect in pools behind sandbars. At high tide, the sandbars are topped and water flows upstream, and then out to sea until the tide gets too low again. The Pescadero Creek is actually strong enough to have a small trickle of a stream through the sand, but its water mostly collects in a lagoon on the other side of the bridge.
That having been said, this has been a really dry year on the California coast, we had a lot less rainfall in the winter than previous years, or so it seemed to me. And as such, there is perhaps reason to be concerned…
Beautiful picture !
Where's all the water? Hey! Thanks for the treats!
The landscape is so different there. The colors so muted. It is a great photo.
