Something a little different this week. This photograph was taken looking upward at giant redwood trees in Muir Woods. I had taken a visiting friend to see them last weekend.
It was good to take a break from our urban environment to be in nature. Similarly, this photograph provides a contrast to my usual work. But one can still see the straight lines and textures that grab my attention whether in nature or human-made environments.
Whoa! Excellent perspective!
cool picture of the trees 😉
Awesome shot. Look how amazingly straight their trunks are — no wonder they were coveted as building wood.
that is a very cool shot.
Now that is a tree I would like to climb. If I knew how to climb a real tree.
Great angle!
Love, love this shot. A beautiful perspective. Happy WW!
I love this, it is beautiful!
Did you see Caesar up there? (Planet of the Apes reference)
Nice picture, very purty!
Wow ! what a view ! now I have a stiff neck !
Excellent. I love this shot!
Beautiful. One day I want to get lost in the big trees.
Makes me miss the west coast! Nice shot!
Wow, those are gorgeous trees. Now we know what it looks like from a squirrel’s view or any animal on the ground. That is an awesome picture. Better keep that one.
Wow, that’s gorgeous! This picture brings back great memories. I haven’t been to Muir Woods since I was a kid … what a wonderful place.
Happy Black Cat Appreciation Day to Luna! 🙂
Beautifully composed. So much to see in the Bay Area whether urban or nature surroundings.
nice tree..
Beautiful lines. And I love the light!
Your trees are almost the opposite of what I submitted for this WW!
I was pretty surprised to see such a view here, but I immediately connected it with the lines you do tend to capture and immortalize. This is beautiful. I want to go outside!!!
