Hipstamatic of a lone tree on a cliff in Pinnacles National Park. I visited exactly one week ago (on my birthday). It was my first visit since 2007 – back then it was just a national monument. It was elevated to National Park status in 2013.
Great photo, Amanda. How wonderful that Pinnacles is close enough for you to visit — it looks like a terrific place.
I didn’t know it had achieved national park status. It does very much look like it was plopped out of Utah, Arizona or New Mexico and dropped into California!
