This colorful structure is in Sacramento, California – not far from the state capitol and Luna’s Cafe, where I played a show with Reconnaissance Fly a few weeks ago. I’m not sure whether it’s a piece of public art, or part of a building that used to be the site – but I always make a point to go back and photograph it when I’m nearby. Depending on the light one gets different effects.
Although the original is indeed very colorful, I did experiment with Adobe Lightroom for additional color treatment and saturation.
A review of the show at Luna’s Cafe will be posted soon.
Amazing architecture, love the colors displayed.
Wow it’s beatuiful, I don’t remember seeing but I don’t go down town much when I visit the capitol.
This is so beautiful!

The colors weren’t enhanced very much, it mostly was a saturation/contrast effect.
That really is gorgeous. I bet that is really something to see in real life. The picture is just great but I know it is better to really see it. Thanks for showing us.
Wow ! I love this picture ! It’s so creative !
Beautiful color saturation. This is how I like photoshop best–when it enhances an already good shot!
This is a really cool picture!
It’s like a rainbow come to earth!
I like the angle of this shot and the mix of color is simply stunning. Happy WW!
Interesting public art and the sunlight really brings out the bright colors. I’ll look for it the next time I’m in Sacramento.
That is COOL! Love the vibrant colors, including the blue of the sky. Great capture!
I would be back shooting that in every available light known, too! What a remarkable structure, whatever it was or is. Love how the lines lead into the intense blue sky from this perspective!
Amazing sculpture. Beautiful pic. Thanks for sharing. 🙂
