This week we celebrated a belated Thanksgiving and birthday with Luna, who is still boarding away from home.
Luna’s birthday was on November 30, so it’s natural to combine with Thanksgiving. I brought her some leftover turkey from New York, some of which I accidentally dropped while taking it out. But that didn’t stop Luna from rushing over to enjoy it:
Meanwhile, she is making friends with some of the other cats, including another black cat.
It’s great to see her happy and making friends. And even though Luna had to celebrate her birthday and Thanksgiving away from home, we’re hopeful she’ll be back home in time for Channukah.
We also mark the initial release of the new CatSynth website this weekend. All the original posts and comments are here, including many from our “CatSynth FEMA Trailer” site. I’m very happy with the new look and structure, it reflects our modernist and urban aesthetics. Feedback is welcome as we continue our work.
Weekend Cat Blogging is being hosted by Sir Tristan Tabby Cat Longtail at Tabbylicious.
Well, I am away in New York for the Thanksgiving holiday weekend, and Luna remains at the (hopefully) soon-to-be-former home in Santa Cruz. So I thought it would be appropriate to share some more photos of Luna from our favorite cat sitter Ronni West:
Perhaps this trip is a little more bittersweet because the “long weekend is longer than a weekend”. We're going to be stuck in away-from-home state for a bit longer, it seems. Hopefully not too much longer. But it is good to know that meanwhile she is getting lots of love and care.
Weekend Cat Blogging #129 is being hosted by our friends at the House of the (Mostly) Black Cats. It looks like Pepi had a bit of a scare with a candle, but everyone is fine. Everyone, please be extra careful with fire safety. A candle can easily turn into something terrible for everyone.
The Bad Kitty Cat Festival of Chaos will be hosted this weekend at Mind of Mog; Carnival of the Cats is going to Wonkitties this Sunday. And of course the Friday Ark is at the modulator.
Happy thanksgiving to all our feline and ailurophile friends, including everyone at the House of (Mostly) Black Cats, who are hosting this holiday weekend's cat blogging.
My office had it's “thanksgiving party” last Friday, and I made sure to bring home some fresh turkey for Luna. As you can see, she quite enjoyed her treat.
You can see video of Luna's thanksgiving and read her own blog entry over at her Catster page.
