No, this is not the latest public works project from Alaska 😉
It is a staircase that appears to descend into the bay from the Embarcadero in San Francisco. I am not quite sure of it’s history.
Fascinating shot. Are the items out in the water the tops of submerged parts of the structure or just flotsam?
Run!! It’s high tide 😛
Randall, yes those are submerged parts of the structure. I am thinking they were part of a place for boats to dock.
Let me give you another perspective. Let’s say that the under the surface of the water there is a fascinating environment. Those stairs to nowhere would be useful to divers who wanted to enter the water to explore! (I would think of that…)
🙂
I really like the way this shot can let your imagination run wild. Great shot
Interesting, looks a little strange ! BTW I missed your cats on COT !
I would call it A staircase to adventure!
This really places a smile on my face. Well seen!
And thanks for your comment on my uncommon photographers site.
My imagination just runs wild…I like to think it’s stairs to the underwater world of mermaids.
Step this way into the stream…
I want to see what climbs out of the water and UP the stairs!
Nice! If only I have a boat, er, make that a yacht…
I love the caption and the photo! Happy WW!
That is cool!! I wonder how they made the stairs under the water :0 Don’t expect me to put my paws into that water!!!! Purrs Mickey
Ah, a concrete image to match a metaphor I know well!
Is that like the bridge to nowhare?
Those stairs to nowhere would be useful to divers who wanted to enter the water to explore!
I thought it was Galveston! No joke intended… Thanks for your visit and yes, I’m remindful of Escher, as well. ~~~Blessings~~~
Cool picture! Happy WW!
That’s a really interesting read for me, you’re thankful for this post.. I’ve been checking your posts from time to time, Cheers 🙂
Where did that lead to? Still a cool looking picture. Looks like a wonderful day!
