The Grand Concourse is a major thoroughfare in the Bronx in New York. It was a upscale boulevard lined with high-end apartment buildings. If fell into disrepair along with much of the Bronx during the 1970s and 1980s, but has been improved and rehabilitated more recently, with nice apartments and cultural institutions like the Bronx Museum of Art.
Lovely atmosphere with B&W!
If not for the modern cars the B&W gives it a very retro feel like stepping back into time about 50 years.
Indeed, the B&W gives this shot a very retro feel. If you check out Β«Louis’Β» Gearhead Tuesday posts, you KNOW he likes retro! π
Yes! Love the B&W — I haven’t been to the Bronx … I should make the effort next time I’m in the city.

Love the gray color of the shot! π
Happy Wordless Wednesday! My entry is here.
Awesome shot!
Have a fantastic week!
WW is up here
My first thought, which I know is weird, was a imaginary John, Paul, Ringo and George walking across…
The Grand Concourse is definitely wider than Abbey Road π
Great shot, Amar! Be careful standing in the middle of the street, though! π
