Wordless Wednesday: Urban Firewheel A firewheel flower (Gaillardia pulchella) in a vacant lot in our district of San Francisco.
The flowers are so beautiful, but I do not understand why it’s not a ‘carpet’ with them! Happy WW and a fine week! Reply
It’s a vacant lot that was formerly a commercial site, so probably not the most hospitable ground. This particular type of flower is very hardy and can pretty much grow anywhere in the drier parts of the US. Reply
What beautiful flowers. Love the colors. Thank you for hosting the Wordless Wednesday Blog Hop. Have a fabulous Wordless Wednesday and rest of the week. ♥ Reply
Such beautiful flowers, right in the middle of all that hardscrabble! We sure hope you, Sam Sam, and Big Merp are doing well. 🙂 Reply

Thankful that flowers will bloom anywhere anytime.
I particularly admire the flowers that can grow anywhere like this.
