The #7 (Flushing) subway line as it passes over a rather tall, rather elaborate, and rather decayed elevated structure in the Long Island City section of Queens in New York City.
That’s a lot of metal. I can imagine the rattle it causes when the train goes by.

Beautiful capture!
I played too. Mine are here and here.
@avcr8teur yes, it does rattle. The elevated subway tracks in New York are infamous for being loud and clangorous.
You have a way of making the mundane a marvel.
This looks rather rusty, I hope it won’t collapse, lol !
such an old classic structure. You really never see these anymore. Most have been replaced
A bit scary to look up for long.
Great capture.
That is definitely an unnerving shot. I agree for some reason it looks like it may collapse???? Perhaps the rust???? Happy WW
I hope it does not fall apart!
NYC real life, I love it!
Mitch
beautiful!
Interesting perspective. I’m glad you were shooting from down instead of up! I think the ground looks a little safer.
Happy WW!!! Very nice. The pic even looks as loud as the train. Like the perspective.
Feel free to stop by my WW post!

Great study in lines and perspective.
I don’t spend too much time in the outer boroughs but the tracks in the Bronx always make me wonder if they are going to stand up.
Great shot!
Sure hope it won’t collapse. 🙁
Great shot! I’ve always been sort of nervous walking around the El … that thing rattles and shakes like there’s no tomorrow!
I, too, wondered about the rumble one might hear and feel if standing nearby as a train rolled over. Clangorous… good word!!! I can “hear” it!
Yikes, that looks scary!
