Midnight Monday: Cat in the Window

No, this is not Luna. This black cat, featured in a holiday window display at Macy’s in San Francisco, did bear a strong resemblance.

Macy’s and the San Francisco SPCA have a longstanding program that features adoptable animals (cats and dogs) in the store’s holiday window displays. You can find more info at the San Francisco SPCA site.

Midnight Monday: Luna away from home

Here are some photos of Luna at her home away from home:

She is actually doing well, comfortable and confident, and even greeting the other cats. She seems to particularly enjoy wandering the long corridors.

And her quarters of quite comfy, which lots of places to climb and play, and indulge her fondness for soft things:

It looks like Luna will have to stay away for a bit longer, as the construction at CatSynth HQ stretches out. I’m glad she’s doing well, but it would be better to have her home again.

Cat-Guitar pic with Luna

Cables have an annoying tendency to multiply. Luna seems oblivious to them.

Something that a few of our friends (including Mr Echo) might appreciate: the red pedal in front is an SIB Mr Echo.

I am planning to use analog effects pedals in my upcoming performances this month. And I am using some extended-techniques on the guitar as sound material (I don’t plan to play it live).

Midnight Monday: Black Cat in a Window

No, this isn’t Luna. But this black cat does bare a remarkable resemblance to her. He even has greenish eyes, though he is a little bigger.

I saw him through a window while out for a walk yesterday in the nearby South Beach neighborhood. He did come up to greet me, and let me know that this was his window.

I like to think that encountering a black cat is good luck.
