Quietly, and without even really noticing, we reached our 3000th post yesterday! This one is in fact 3001. Nonetheless, it does feel like an achievement worth noting.
A CZ 3000 feels like an appropriate image for today.

OK Cat People…… I just love this one ….. A serious looking, orange and white, tabby cat with a Teenage Engineering OP-1 Synthesizer experiencing zero gravity in a Space Ship. The OP-1 looks like a toy, but it is actually very powerful, feature packed little Synthesizer.
We have long been intrigued by the OP-1. Here is our visit to their NAMM 2014 booth.

Yes, a mixing console isn’t a synthesizer, though it can be used as a musical instrument in live settings, as our friend Lob does with his Instagon project.
It is the more prosaic use of the mixing console, for recording, that interests us as work on my solo album heats up again. I do hope to have it completed by early fall.

It’s not every day that one of our greatest musical heroes is turned into a CatSynth pic 🙂
Luna has been doing well with her current treatment. The pill-based chemotherapy has brought the disease to a standstill so things aren’t getting worse, and it hasn’t caused her any noticeable side effects. And she has been happy and healthy otherwise. She plays, basks in sun spots, and particularly likes curling up on soft surfaces like the blanket in the photo above.
As was the last about a year ago during her initial treatments, I am also recovering from my own medical adventures. Nothing that would cause concern, but it has required a lot of rest and a lot of patience (which has never been my strong suit). Luna’s health, vitality, and affection have been tremendous comforts as I recover. We truly help each other.
