Make Noise, Mutable Instruments, Mordax, More

A beautiful black-and-white photo of a tabby cat in front of a modular system featuring modules from Mutable Instruments, Make Noise, Mordax, and more. I do like alliteration, but we do also see interesting modules from Noise Engineering and 4ms.

From hshmodular on Instagram. They also introduced us to Toulouse in this previous post.

Toulouse and Modular

Handsome Toulouse sits atop a modular system featuring modules from a wide variety of makers, including Make Noise, Mutable Instruments, Noise Engineering, Expert Sleepers, Wrong Electronics (the intriguing-liking Vector Space module in the lower left). From hshmodular, who also has a series going into detail on several of the modules on their Instagram. Check it out!

“Cat Dance” (Chase, Marie Ann Hedonia, and modular)

A delightful jam by Marie Ann Hedonia on a modular as her cat Chase watches.

I hereby title this track “Cat Dance”.

Even though Chase was completely disinterested in helping me produce this track. 😸That’s okay, I forgive him.

Pinglato and “Gemini” (Twin Oscillator Jam)

From theoramawards (named for the great Daphne Oram) on Instagram.

It’s #GeminiSeason and 2020 Oram Awardee Loula Yorke has just released on her @bandcamp page ‘Gemini’ a piece of sparkling ephemera to celebrate her birthday.

The track will disappear after 24 hours starting from today.

If you’d like to show her some support, listen/buy this twin oscillator jam track!

Sadly we missed this ephemeral track, but please do check out Loula Yorke’s bandcamp page for some more intriguing music. Here is a sampling from her album Crowd Control.

Vanilla and Modular

Vanilla the cat joins us from Guangzhou, China, with an impressive modular system. We see an Erica Synths Plasma Drive, numerous offerings from Endorphines and Make Noise, including a 0-coast; 4MS, Noise Engineering, the popular SQ-1 sequencer from Korg, and even a box from Elektron.
